PC Guardian Unveils New Combination Lock at Infosecurity Europe 2004

System Allows Administrators to Control Assets, Gives Users Unique Combinations

November 3, 2003

San Rafael, CA, USA — Today, PC Guardian Anti-Theft Products Inc. (www.pcguardian.com) will introduce the Notebook Guardian® Expansion System at the Computer Security Institute's 30th Annual Computer Security Conference and Exhibition in Washington DC, meeting rapidly growing demand by security administrators for greater flexibility in customizing computer anti-theft packages.

Developed around PC Guardian's patented laptop computer anti-theft device, the Notebook Guardian Expansion System allows users to lock down numerous devices to a single computer anti-theft cable. Only one key will be needed to open the locks. Custom-keying, including master keying, is available.

"One or more computer locks are better than one, especially as system configurations become more diverse and complex," says PC Guardian President Noah Groth.

The Notebook Guardian Expansion System, and other popular PC Guardian computer anti-theft and data encryption products, will be on display at the CSI Exhibition in PC Guardian's booth, No. 713. The CSI Exhibition will be at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, 2660 Woodley Road, NW, Washington. DC, November 3-4. The Exhibition is free.

In its standard configuration, the Notebook Guardian Expansion System (Model 1255) locks down two devices with built-in Security Slots. The patented lock fits snugly and securely into the Security Slot found on numerous pieces of computing and telecommunications equipment, while the attached PVC-coated galvanized steel security cable is lassoed to a stationary object.

Users can order additional Expansion Locks (Model 1250) to secure other equipment that have Security Slots.

System configurations the device can secure are numerous and include the following:

The Notebook Guardian Expansion System is available directly from PC Guardian. Pricing is based on the number of units purchased. For information, contact PC Guardian at 800-288-8126 (415-459-0190), email info@pcguardian.com, or visit http://www.pcguardian.com.
