PC Guardian Ships Latest Innovation
in Physical Security for the Enterprise

New ergonomic design enhances security and usability

San Rafael, CA, USA— PC Guardian, a premier manufacturer of computer security products announced today the successful roll out of its PC Guardian Ezolution® line of computer and office equipment security devices. The new Ezolution design builds on PC Guardian's patented locking system already in use worldwide.

"We were tasked by our customers with engineering a lock that installs quickly and easily while maintaining the strongest theft prevention available in a cable lock" said company President and CEO Ann Laurenson. "Based on the feedback we've received, the Ezolution line exceeds our clients' standards for security and performance."

Customer reaction to the new design has been unanimously positive. Don Barrie, Corporate facilities coordinator at Cushman & Wakefield says of the new locks, “They're fast and reliable. The push-button locks allow me to quickly set-up and secure our equipment. We're constantly moving projectors into different meeting rooms and the locks really hold up to the punishment we give them.” Patric Yankura, with Healthways' Information Security Department, with nearly 800 of the locks deployed, said “the new design saves me a lot of time. It's much easier to install as no key is required, and it's foolproof in that I can tell when it's locked or unlocked just by looking at it.”

The advanced design of the PC Guardian Ezolution locks offer a number of important benefits for security managers and end users:

• New ergonomic design allows end-users to install the lock by simply placing the locking arm into the computers' security slot, and pushing the button-type locking head. No key is required to engage the lock. This is especially beneficial when securing large installations, and when the security slot is in a hard to reach location.


• Pivot and Swivel cable/lock system impedes potential theft by limiting the ability to twist or pry the lock.


• Beveled key hole guides key into position for easy unlocking. The key turns only one way to open. The button-type locking head pops out when the device is unlocked.

PC Guardian's Ezolution line includes four different products: the Ezolution Classic, the Ezolution Duo, the Ezolution Expansion System, and the Ezolution Retractable. Each model features the latest locking head and a multi-strand aircraft grade steel cable sheathed in black PVC. Cable lengths and widths vary based on the intended application.
