San Rafael, CA, USA — PC Guardian, a premier manufacturer of computer anti-theft security products announced today the rollout of its Give Back Initiative designed to support non-profit organizations through grants, product donations, employee volunteerism, and employer match donations. The PC Guardian Give Back Initiative mission statement reads:
“PC Guardian supports organizations whose missions align with our values and that build healthy communities where our employees live and work.”
“Since our founding in 1984, we have endeavored to be a good corporate citizen” said Ann Laurenson, PC Guardian's President and CEO. “With the Give Back Initiative,” continued Laurenson, “we're formalizing and building on that philosophy and giving back to our community with our employees' time, our products, and our dollars. It's our way of sharing our success and doing our part to help make our community a better place.”
The focus of PC Guardian's philanthropic efforts includes human and family needs, education, the arts, animal welfare, and environmental awareness. The Give Back Initiative includes four distinct components:
Give Back Funds
The Give Back Fund is distributed to qualified organizations in the form of grants for which non-profits can apply. When considering donation requests, PC Guardian places emphasis on local, well-established non-profit organization and programs. National organizations whose services or programs directly benefit San Francisco Bay Area can also qualify. The first recipient of the Give Back fund is the Marin Abused Women's Services in San Rafael, California.
PC Guardian Product Donations
PC Guardian anti-theft security products are available for donation to non-profits or schools and libraries with a 501(C) (3) designation. The first donation under the Give Back initiative has already been made to San Rafael's recently renovated Pickleweed Community Center and Library.
Employee Volunteerism
PC Guardian is supporting its employee's efforts to volunteer within their own communities with 8 hours of paid volunteer time per year.
Employer Matching Fund
This fund will match each employee's contribution to an eligible organization of their choice.
